All fighters must submit a Fighter Application or contact us directly to be considered for Sparta Combat.  Fighters are required by the Colorado State Boxing Commission to have current bloodwork showing negative of Hep B, Hep C, HIV (within 1 year of the anticipated fight date).  You will not be considered for an event until you have proof of negative bloodwork.  Fighters must also have photo ID.

What medicals are required by Colorado State Boxing Commission?

The Colorado State Boxing Commission requires that all participants fill out an application (first time fighters can complete this paperwork at weigh-ins, or prior to that participants can contact Josef Mason (Director of Boxing) for other questions).  Participants must also provide proof of Negative Blood Test Results for Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, and HIV no later than one week prior to the scheduled event date.  Negative results are good for one year from the date of the tests.

Where can I get my bloodwork done?

We recommend www.requestatest.com.  If you go to the website you can put in your zip code and find a collection site nearby to get your blood drawn.  Before you can get your blood drawn, you must first call them and schedule your appointment (1-888-732-2348).  They require payment up front to set up your appointment.  Once your info is in their system and paid for, you can go get your blood drawn at your convenience.  The turnaround time for the results is usually 48 hours.  You can request them to send the results directly to the Colorado State Boxing Commission (recommended), as well as have your payment receipt and results emailed to you directly.

Will I get paid to fight?

Professional fighters may negotiate their purse amount by contacting Jeff @ 720-933-6147.

It is illegal (per Colorado State Boxing Commission) to pay amateur/elimination fighters.  However, amateurs will make 20% of all tickets they sell personally.

How does ticket consignment/comps work?

Each fighter is given the opportunity to take tickets on consignment to sell for the event.  Fighters must complete and sign a ticket contract for any tickets they receive on consignment.  Fighter is responsible for all tickets or the face value of those tickets no later than weigh-ins for the event.

How do I get a copy of my fight?

DVDs are available for purchase at www.spartacombatmma.com/dvds.html for $19.99 plus shipping.  All DVDs are shot in High Defenition, include pre-fight interviews, and cover the full event.

If you know someone in need, you can fill out the contact us form with the details of the situation and you contact information.  The application will then be reveiwed and determined if they are eligible to be beneficiaries at one of the events.

I can't come to the event but i want to donate to the cause...how can i do that?

We have a donate button in the menu to the left where you can click to obtain information about the beneficiaries for each event.  On that page there is a “donate” button which you can designate as much or as little as you’d like to whichever cause you are looking to help out. All donations are greatly appreciated.
